Lost a wedding ring in water? How to give yourself the best chance.
A ring is small, which is why finding it takes patience and an exact spot. We search the bottom with an underwater drone and bring in partners with an underwater metal detector if needed. All over Austria.
- Up to 100 m deep
- 4K camera with strong light

What affects the search
Do not stir the bottom. Stirred-up silt hides your view and can bury the ring deeper.
Mark the spot: tie a bottle to a string, weigh it down and sink it as a makeshift buoy. Also note two reference points on the shore that line up.
Report it right away: current and silt move small things over time. Send photos of the place and a description of the ring.
How the search works
- Send a request
Tell us what fell into the water and where. Photos of the spot help narrow the search.
- We search
We come to the water with the underwater drone and search the bottom systematically. A live 4K picture and 5000 lm of light show us what is down there even in murky water.
- Recovery & handover
Found it? We bring it up and hand it to you on the shore, with a video of the find.
The drone (FIFISH V-EVO) dives to 100 m, films in 4K and lights up with 5000 lm. Nobody has to get in the water.
What does it cost?
Prices are on request because every search is different: the type of job, the location and the area decide, above all the travel. You tell us what happened and get a fair quote before we set off. We do private searches on a voluntary basis; ideally a contribution for fuel and parking and a voluntary finder’s fee are welcome. There is no guarantee of success: water, visibility and the bottom all play a part.
Frequently asked questions
Can a ring be found at all?
Often yes, but we cannot guarantee it. Visibility, the bottom and how exact the spot is all play a part. If a search looks hopeless, we say so honestly.
What about the metal detector?
We search for small valuables specifically, with partners with an underwater metal detector if needed.
What do you need from me?
Where it happened, when, roughly how deep the water is and a description of the ring. Photos of the place help a lot.

The sooner we search, the better: current and silt move things over time.
