Lost something in Lake Neusiedl? We search for it underwater.
Lake Neusiedl is a steppe lake: very shallow, often murky, with reed beds. Here depth is not the problem, visibility is. With a live 4K picture and 5000 lm of light we still search the bottom metre by metre.
- Up to 100 m deep
- 4K camera with strong light

What affects the search
The lake is only about one metre deep on average. Things lie close by but cannot be seen from above in murky water.
Wind stirs up the silt easily and hides things. In wind it is often worth waiting for calmer weather.
At reed beds and jetties in shallow water an exact spot matters especially, so we do not have to search large areas.
How the search works
- Send a request
Tell us what fell into the water and where. Photos of the spot help narrow the search.
- We search
We come to the water with the underwater drone and search the bottom systematically. A live 4K picture and 5000 lm of light show us what is down there even in murky water.
- Recovery & handover
Found it? We bring it up and hand it to you on the shore, with a video of the find.
The drone (FIFISH V-EVO) dives to 100 m, films in 4K and lights up with 5000 lm. Nobody has to get in the water.
What does it cost?
Prices are on request because every search is different: the type of job, the location and the area decide, above all the travel. You tell us what happened and get a fair quote before we set off. We do private searches on a voluntary basis; ideally a contribution for fuel and parking and a voluntary finder’s fee are welcome. There is no guarantee of success: water, visibility and the bottom all play a part.
Frequently asked questions
Does the drone work in such shallow water?
Yes. The drone moves freely in every direction and films in 4K. In very shallow water it mostly depends on visibility and silt.
Where on Lake Neusiedl do you work?
We come to jetties, bathing spots and harbour areas in Burgenland, for example near Neusiedl am See, Podersdorf or Illmitz.
What gets in the way of a search most?
Murky water, stirred-up silt and weeds. So: do not stir the bottom, and ask early.
What happened? Write to us.
The sooner we search, the better: current and silt move things over time.
